Okinawa

A Japanese island paradise
Marine Life
Okinawa consists of a group of 160 islands located in the Pacific Ocean and forms the southernmost part of Japan. Experiencing a subtropical climate, it has ideal conditions for growing tropical produce such as mango, papaya and sugar cane. The Okinawan islands have a diverse history reflected in their culture which encompasses elements from both Japan and China. They are also blessed with aquamarine green sea and a visibility frequently in excess of 30 metres which provides for excellent diving with beautiful coral.

This website is a work in progress to provide information about Okinawa, my favourite place in Japan. I am by no means an authority on Okinawa but have visited many times and have acquired a certain amount of knowledge about the geography, history and culture.
